The DataMan 8700 Series handheld barcode reader, including direct part mark (DPM), comes in 2 models - the 8700DX with Integrated diffuse, polarized and direct light and the 8700DQ with diffuse lighting.  Both available as corded and cordless. The DataMan 8700 Series is ideal for automotive, electronics, aerospace, medical and logistics plus more.

The DataMax 8700 Series handheld barcode reader decodes the toughest direct part mark (DPM) and label-based codes while withstanding harsh oils, dirt and water.  A built-in display screen enables quick setup and operator feedback.  These readers supports a broad range of industrial protocols and communications to connect and operate efficiently in any facility.

Oil and water-resistant housing, the DataMan 8700 is built to last in the harshest environments.  It is submergible in one meter of water without causing damage and withstands multiple drops from 8.2 feet (2.5 meters) onto concrete.

Set up without connecting to a PC.  First-of-its-kind OLED display screen makes setup easy without connecting to a PC.  The DataMan 8700 easily connects to PLCs and factory networks.  Supports more communication options than ever before including Wi-Fi 5GHz and 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 and a corded option.
