RedStamp CCU 1000 Automatic Box Opener
Ensure fast, efficient, and safe box opening
The RedStamp CCU 1000 Automatic Box Cutter makes hand-cutting obsolete and unnecessary. It is a reasonably-priced, fully random box cutting machine designed to open RSC or HSC boxes by cutting the tops, typically on 3 or 4 sides, speeding operations, saving carpal tunnel and cut injuries, and often saving insurance premiums. By metering-in cases the Automatic Box Cutter operates completely independent of human intervention, measuring them, cutting and then automatically indexing them out of the cutting cell. Advanced applications can vary the recipe based on bar code or other identification. The system can be expanded with downstream camera inspection and/or sortation of the cut items. The CCU applies a mode such as cutting on 3 or 4 sides at designated locations regardless of the box size presented to it.
How It Works
The CCU 1000 uses advanced 24VDC conveyor to index cases into the cutting area. Using high resolution sensors to .001 inch the case is measured in three dimensions; robotic servomotors position blades as needed to cut in the mode specified by the operator at the HMI. The materials treatment and round shape of the blades provide a wide surface area and long life to help resist breakage. The result every time - is a perfectly cut box. The machine is designed to stop immediately in case of an over current. It offers a wide variety of maintenance alarms and logging; remote support is provided. The cutter includes a full safety guarding package that interlocks the machine immediately when any guard is opened. Unlike some competitive models, all of the logic and functionality is contained in a user-configurable PLC allowing the customer the freedom to support the equipment themselves, if they desire.
The CCU 1000 automatic box opener is designed to work seamlessly with your existing workflow process, but we can help you to create a complete automated system. Additional equipment is available to work alongside this machine like: in-feed conveyors, out-feed conveyors, box toppers, strapping units, and automatic shrink wrapping systems.
