USPS Announces Changes to Guaranteed Delivery Times for Priority Mail Express®
On April 14th, 2021, the PRC approved changes to the committed delivery time for USPS Priority Mail Express that will take effect on May 23, 2021. This change came about to help manage the surge in parcel volume.
Priority Mail Express currently has three (3) guaranteed delivery time windows (10:30 AM, 12:00 PM or 3:00 PM) within the 1-2 business day service standards. The approved changes will combine all delivery time windows into one end-of-day guaranteed delivery time of 6:00 PM, regardless of package's origin and destination.
- The services standard of 1-2 days shipment will not be changing.
- There is no change to the price of Priority Mail Express - the changes only reflect delivery time
- Part of the USPS August 29th, 2021 changes include the removal of Domestic Priority Mail Express $5.00 extra fee for delivery by 10:30 AM.
For Quadient customers: Be advised that after the service change date, existing delivery windows will continue to be displayed on your meter's control panel. Please do not select them as those times are discontinued and will not be honored by the USPS®.
